The Form

During Level I instruction of Turtle Longevity Qigong, the routines of Part I (the standing form) and Part III (the sitting meditation) will be practiced. In Part I: Watching the Turtle; participants will visualize a 100 yr. old turtle and imitate its movements of swimming and diving deeply in the ocean. In doing so, acupoints and channels are opened and cleansed. Overall, the reserves of qi are increased as one becomes more engergized.

Part III is a powerful Sitting Meditation. It is designed to bring in more qi to balance the flow of yin & yang qi among the five internal organs, and enhance each organ system's functions. Breathing is naturally slow like a turtle as one meditates and exchanges qi with the universe.

Beyond learning the forms, explanations will be given for the qigong theories and principles of Chinese medicine behind the movements of Turtle Longevity Qigong. In this way, participants will more deeply understand the benefits they will come to know by practicing Turtle Longevity Qigong.
